The PCSL training is certified by the National Commission for Optical and Laser Safety of Photonics France. Individuals who successfully complete this training are registered in the national database of people trained in laser safety.
Objectifs de la formation
- Understand how lasers work (e-learning module)
- Use laser equipment under optimal safety conditions in compliance with rules, instructions, and safety procedures
- Design or improve the layout of a secure laser facility
- Adapt protective and preventive measures
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of others
Profil des bénéficiaires
Pour qui
- Individuals working near laser equipment and exposed to radiation levels exceeding the exposure limit value (ELV)
- Individuals working in controlled laser hazard areas who participate in: - Risk assessments for workers operating near laser machines or equipment - Implementation of all measures on site to ensure the health and safety of workers operating near laser machines, systems, or equipment - Continuous improvement of risk prevention based on workplace situation analysis
- Authorized classes: all
- Individuals responsible for their own safety and that of others: doctors, laser manufacturing technicians/engineers, laser maintenance technicians/engineers, etc

- Knowledge of risk management and occupational safety (completed or planned)

- Laser emission: review of how lasers work and emission characteristics, main types of lasers and their applications
- Non-beam hazards (electrical, chemical, etc.)
